臓器移植がテーマで、移植を可能にする現代の先進医療における臓器の対価と命の重さを考えた作品。
置き換え可能な臓器と命。
臓器移植は命のやりとり。もらう人、あげる人。移植できる臓器、できない臓器。
決して人の手では造ることのできない掛替えのない臓器を私の手で「至高の心臓」として表した。
臓器はどこまで代替され、人はどこまで生き延びられるのだろう。
どこまで医療は施されていくのだろう。
また、臓器を置き換えるというのはどういうことなのか、シリコンで型を作って多量に型抜きすることを通して表現した。
Since Dr. Wada's transplant surgery, heart transplantation in Japan has come to a standstill, forcing people to seek transplantation surgeries overseas. This has cost millions of dollars and forced people to make life and death decisions. Meanwhile, in Southeast Asia, organ trafficking is taking place among the impoverished. This work focuses on the issue of life through the theme of replaceable organ transplants.
